You can pick up a call on another extension by pressing the 2nd Line button on your Mitel phone. When you are on hold with a call, you’ll see a green line blinking in the main screen. Then, press the 2nd Line button at the bottom of the main screen to pick up the call from another extension. Press the desired extension’s extension number and the call will transfer to that person.
The second option is to use the Phone Book. This function allows you to find an extension by using the user’s last name. You can use the number pad to enter the name of the extension. For example, if you want to call Smith, enter 7 four times, 6 three times, and 8 once. You can also enter A and B in number 2. To pick up the call from another extension, you must press the 2nd Line button on your Mitel phone.
There are two methods to use the 2nd Line button on a Mitel phone to pick up call from another number. First, you need to configure the button. This button is called speed dial. It will dial the phone number you specify, while the shared line button will allow you to place or answer calls on the number you have configured. Adjusting the ringer pitch on a mitel phone

Then, press the Program key to return to the Not Programmed screen. Finally, press the Save/Off button to set your new settings.
Transferring a call from another extension mitel phone
You can transfer a call from another extension on your Mitel phone. This feature is found at the bottom of the phone. Press the Superkey button to display the Call Forwarding? menu. From there, press the Next and Review keys to display the Always? and Not Programmed? messages. Finally, press the Save/Off button to end the transfer. When you receive a call, you can transfer it to another extension or directly to voicemail. Your Mitel phone will detect the caller on hold and will blink the green line on the main screen. To transfer a call, simply press the Transfer key. Then, announce that you are transferring the call to another extension. The other party will be informed about the new call and will be able to answer. If the caller is unavailable, you will need to hang up. To cancel the transfer, press the Cancel key on the phone. The Cancel key looks like an X, surrounded by a circle. You can also press the red hold button to disconnect from the IP phone.
To answer the call, you can lift the headset and press the speaker phone button. You will find these buttons at the top right corner of the Mitel phone. When you press the speaker phone button, the microphone will be muted. Once you answer the call, the phone will automatically switch to speaker mode. It is that simple.
