If you’re looking for an easy to paint plague marine model, then look no further. This article covers everything from the new Disgustingly Resilient rule to the kit itself. We’ll also cover some important factors to consider when painting foul blightspawn, such as the new sculpt from Darren Latham and the rules that go with it. Hopefully you’ll find this information useful, and that you can use it to build the right model for your army.
Plague Marines’ new Disgustingly Resilient rule
The new Disgustingly Resilient rule for Plague Marines is not as big a deal as you might think. This rule doesn’t grant a Feel No Pain save. Instead, it reduces all damage by one. Consequently, your high-damage shots will need to do at least three damage to kill a Plague Marine. The change is welcome news to experienced Plague Marine players, but it’s also a mixed bag.
Compared to the old rule, this new version of Disgustingly Resilient will not help you survive against weapons with higher damage. As a result, the new version of the rule means that Plague Marines are still vulnerable to massed lasgun fire, but they’re less likely to die. Despite their increased toughness, the new rule will not help you deal with more powerful weapons.
Unlike most other Space Marines, Plague Marines are immune to melee weapons, and they can ignore wounds with a save of 3 or more. But, unlike other Space Marines, their Disgustingly Resilient ability is only available to those who are on the same team as them. Because of their new Disgustingly Resilient rule, Plague Marines can be taken as part of a Fire Team. While they lack Leader and specialist operatives, their resiliency makes them an excellent screen/chaff unit for a Plague Marine Fire Team.
The Plague Marines’ new Disgusting Resilient rule can be very useful for some of your best players. If you have an Icon Beaer or Horn Bearer, you can equip the Icon Beaver to add extra objective marker control and a Plague Marine Fighter to the squad. Moreover, the new Disgustingly Resilient rule also allows nearby Plague Marines to gain an additional advantage by rerolling their damage rolls for Disgustingly Resilient.
Death Guard are dedicated to Nurgle and Mortarion, spreading corruption and death throughout the galaxy. They were originally part of the XIVth Legion Astartes, spearheading the Great Crusade. And the new Disgustingly Resilient rule is a major upgrade for these space marines. If you’ve been putting off the Plague Marines’ new Disgustingly Resilient rule, it’s time to get one!
Darren Latham’s sculpt
The sculpt of the Foul Blightspawn is an excellent representation of the creatures’ deadly nature. The right arm has a tentacle that pulls a pin from the grenade, and there are pins hanging from its belt and support struts. Darren also created a fleshy hose that drips toxic venom onto the Nurgling’s grenade.
The kit
The kit to paint foul blightspawn contains all the parts required for painting one model. It is a 77 point model that comes on a single sprue. It features rotted armour, Nurgle icons, a tall manreaper, and plague sprayer. It also comes with a Citadel 40mm Round base. It is available now for purchase from your local Games Workshop store.
The Foul Blightspawn emits a repulsive stench and has corrupted air. They have long tubes of puss and cough plague slop. The foul blightspawn can be attacked by a variety of weapons and have a colossal reservoir of diseases. However, it is not a good idea to attack this type of foe with your weapons. The stench is so offensive that foes may try to kill you with it to escape.
